Nissan North America, Inc. saw a sales increase of 9.5% in 2012. U.S. sales totaled 1,141,656(Nissan & Infiniti), which is the second time the Nissan brand has sold more than 1 million vehicles in a calendar year.
The Nissan
Altima exceeded 300,000 sales for the first time, selling 302,934 units in 2012. The
Rogue sold 142,349 units in 2012, making it the number 2 best selling vehicle in Nissan's lineup. The
Versa saw sales of 10,618 nits in December and 113,327 units in 2012. 1,489
LEAFs were sold, bringing its sales to 9,819 for 2012. The
NV commercial van was up 58 percent to 10,179, with 1,250 units sold in December. The
Pathfinder sales increase 198.1 percent, selling 7,939 units.
"Nissan had a record-breaking 2012, led by the strong totals for Altima, Rogue and Versa," said Al Castignetti, vice president, Nissan Division. "Our aggressive product launch schedule with five new core vehicles in under two years positions us well for a successful 2013."
