2013 NY Auto Show: 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid

The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid made it's debut at the 2013 New York International Auto Show.

The Pathfinder is expected to cost $3,000 more than the non-hybrid Pathfinder. A base Pathfinder starts at over $29,000, including the $845 destination charge. The Pathfinder Hybrid will compete against the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid will go on sale late this summer.

The Pathfinder Hybrid will use a supercharged 2.5L
engine, paired with an electric motor. This pairing will deliver 250 horsepower compared to the 3.5L V6's 260 horsepower.

Fuel economy is estimated to be 25 mpg city and 27 mpg highway. The non-hybrid Pathfinder returns 20 mpg city and 26 highway. The hybrid will be available in front-wheel driver or four-wheel drive, and have a towing capacity of 3,500 pounds.
